Can I set my own minimum and maximum charge limits with Smart Charging?

You can set a minimum and maximum limit for smart charging through the Chippio app.

In the app, you can choose a lower limit for smart charging — this is the battery percentage that must be reached before the smart charging plan kicks in.

For example, if you set the lower limit at 20% and arrive home with 15% battery, charging will begin immediately and reach 20% as quickly as possible. It will then stop, and the smart charging plan will activate for the remainder of the charge.

Most electric vehicles have a setting to establish a maximum charge limit, as charging to 100% capacity can damage the battery. Smart Charging will respect the maximum limit set in your vehicle's settings — so if you've set your vehicle's maximum to 80%, Chippio will never charge beyond that.
